Design a monster prison cell that slides between each other and rotates. Actors escape the cell by climbing out the emergency hatch centered in the ceiling.
I designed a large ring in the underside of the cell with teeth facing inward. Four small drives would rise up from the cell below, engage the large ring, and rotate it. This leaves the center of the cell wide open for the actors to escape.
I modeled my design in 3D and did an animation to share the design motion with Visual Effects.

Watching Star Wars for the first time he was drawn to the intricate sets that sparked his imagination and set the path to work in film and be part of the creative vision. A highlight was working as an Art Director on The Haunting Hour Season 4 that was nominated for 6 Emmy’s and took home 5 of the 6 Emmy’s. Michael is committed to detail through an intuitive creative process, proficient in design software and immersed in 3D printing. He promotes an inspirational and supportive work space responsible for the flow of art concepts through out the production. A love for film fuels Michael’s deep passion to be creative and bring visual stories to life.
